According to CultBox, Don Starkey (Strax) would be open to the idea of a spinoff for his character:
Dan Starkey has revealed that he is “certainly” interested in a Doctor Who spin-off featuring Commander Strax, Madame Vastra and Jenny.
Starkey has now appeared as Strax in four episodes: ‘A Good Man Goes to War’, ‘The Snowmen’, ‘The Crimson Horror’ and ‘The Name of the Doctor’.
Speaking to Doctor Who TV about the possibility of a spin-off, the actor commented: “Certainly, I’d love to do a Paternoster gang spin-off show. That said, I’m sure that in the odd episode Strax could develop a perception filter so perhaps Neve and I didn’t have to spend so quite much time in make-up…
Discussing Strax’s future, Starkey added: “Strax has a glorious future of domestic servitude and violence ahead of him!”
Personally, I love Strax. He makes me giggle. I don’t know if a show with just those three would take off, but it would definitely be interesting to see.
Just don’t let the Stars network get ahold of it like Torchwood…
